Born in Toronto, Ontario Canada, Laytrel started acting at the age of eight. Laytrel is a young actress with an impressive resume under her belt. Not only was Laytrel a member of the NBA Raptors Junior Dance Pak, enjoying many live performances, but she has also filmed a half dozen television commercials such as ( Barbie Hit Mix, Disney Fairies and Strawberry Short cake). Laytrel transitioned easily into the world of television and film, enjoying first a small role in the feature film Repossession Mambo, and then, most notably as Jamie, a regular recurring role on the TV series The Line which is scheduled to start airing in South Africa, Europe, France, and Its Canadian Premiere on March 16, 2009.

Her starring role as Violet in the Canadian Film Centre production Pudge, firmly establishes Laytrel as a lead player, and with no doubt, springboard her into becoming one of the most sought out after young actors in her age range.
